Candle Care 101

01.

Trim that wick

Make sure to always trim your wick at least 1/4 inch before burning. Yes, every time! This will prevent your wick from mushrooming so your wax burns evenly, plus prevent soot from getting in your candle and home.

02.

Burn baby, burn

In order to avoid tunneling, burn your candle until the entire surface of the wax has fully melted. To prevent over-heating, make sure to keep your burn sessions limited to no more than 4 hours at a time. When less than 1/2 inch of wax remains, it’s time to stop burning and treat yourself to a new candle!

03.

Keep it safe

Blowing out candles may be tempting (we’ve all done it), but you lose fragrance that way! Best practice is to extinguish the flame using a snuffer or a dipper. Never extinguish your candle with water!
